Do you have Free Wi-Fi?
Complimentary WIFI is available to all in-house guests.
Is there Parking available?
Complimentary parking for guests staying at Q Station. For day visitors parking is limited. We do suggest the local 161 bus from Manly or use Taxi/Ubers.
What Tours are available?
History and Ghost Tours are operated daily from our Visitor Centre at the Wharf. Our Tours desk is manned from Wednesday to Sunday. Tours run daily and are only cancelled when there are no bookings. Can I cancel my booking?
Cancellations are dependent on your booking. Please read your reservation confirmation for terms and conditions.
can I BRING MY sup/kayak?
Feel free to bring your SUP or kayak with you, there’s a great range of bays to explore off Quarantine Beach. Alternatively, if you do not have a SUP or Kayak these can be hired from our Tours Desk.
do i need to bring LINEN?
- All linen and towels are provided with the room.
ARE YOU PET FRIENDLY?
Being in a National Park no pets are allowed on site
What is the age bracket for a child?
A child is classed as 12 years and younger.
Air conditioning
Q Station is a heritage hotel, and no air conditioning is available in rooms, however ceiling fans are in all rooms and suites.
Gift Cards/Gift vouchers
Gift Cards can be purchased online though our website or via the Visitors Centre, opening hours are 10am-4pm daily.
How do I get to Q Station?
Q Station is location of North Head in Sydney harbour National Park. It is a short 15-minute walk from Manly or a 5-minute Uber/taxi trip. Alternatively, there is a public bus or a Q Station shuttle that you can take to and from Manly. Learn more here.
Fishing
No fishing is allowed from Quarantine Beach.

Please note no BBQs are allowed onsite as we are located in a National Park.
Drinks
Drinks can be bought on site. BYO alcohol not permitted.
SWIMMING POOL
We do not have a pool at Q Station. Guests are more than welcome to swim at the secluded Quarantine Beach.
CAN I BRING MY BOAT?
Boat anchorage must be before the buoy line in front of quarantine beach, as the area is a marine sanctuary. Wharf access is also not permitted as it is a public wharf. If coming to quarantine beach, a dinghy can be used past the buoy line.
aRE BEACH TOWELS AVAILABLE?
Beach towels are available for hotel guests and can be arranged through reception.
Can I drive on-site at Q Station?
As we are location within a National Park with endangered wildlife, driving is not permitted. We offer a complimentary shuttle service to assist you get around the property. This is available 24hrs.
Do I need to be a hotel guest to visit?
No, not at all. Q Station is a public access site. Come and visit us, go for a walk, enjoy a coffee at the café, have dinner at the restaurant, take a tour, or just enjoy the beach.
Can i snorkel?
Yes! Snorkels are available for hire if you don’t have your own with kids sets from $15 a day and adults from $20 a day.
cAN I sCUBA dive?
We have a great dive site right on our doorstep off Quarantine Beach. Our local dive partner is Dive Centre Manly, however, if you are certified with relevant qualifications the waters are yours to explore.
Do you have a bar?
Yes! Engine Room is our bar and is open every weekend. It’s right by the water and offers casual bites, cocktails and a full beverage menu.
Do you have Happy Hour?
We sure do. Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 5pm enjoy $7 house spirits, Furphy ales, house wines and $15 Espresso Martinis.
DO you have live music?
Yes, live music is available on the Boilerhouse Terrace every Saturday and Sunday from 1-4pm. Check the list of musicians which changes weekly.
DO you have a Restaurant?
Yes, the Boilerhouse Kitchen & Bar is a full service restaurant located on the shoreline of the incredible Sydney Harbour. Boilerhouse Kitchen & Bar specialises in fresh, modern Australian cuisine. There’s plenty to choose from including a casual menu that can be enjoyed at lunch on the weekends, or for those looking to indulge why not enjoy a dinner that includes a 2-course or 3-course set menu.
Who is the Executive Chef at Boilerhouse?
Michael Mousseau, not only brings 25 years of experience to Q Station’s Boilerhouse Kitchen & Bar, but also a level of sophistication and adventure to his menus. Originally hailing from Canada, he has worked across many kitchens including the prestigious Fairmont Chateau in Whistler and a range of Four Seasons Hotels across Hawaii, Vancouver and Sydney. In addition to his extensive culinary experience, Mousseau is also a trained sommelier, holding a diploma with the International Sommelier Guild, a skill that does not go unnoticed in his menu selection. From a Mousseau menu, you can expect to see seasonal produce that showcases quality Australian ingredients, and an art for balancing dishes with deep, rich flavours with fresh and surprising elements.
WHat Time does Boilerhouse Kitchen and Bar open?
Boilerhouse Kitchen & Bar is open from Wednesday to Sunday. Lunch at the Boilerhouse is from 12pm to 5pm Saturday and Sunday, serving both Set Menu & Casual Dining. Some casual food items are available until 5pm. Dinner at the Boilerhouse is from 5pm to 9pm Wednesday to Saturday, serving our Set Menu only where you can enjoy 2 or 3 courses.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is at 2pm and check-out is 10am.
DO YOU HAVE ROOM SERVICE?
Q Station does not currently offer room service, however, we have a full buffet breakfast available in the morning for hotel guests at our views restaurant and casual and formal dining options available across our Engine Room Bar or the Boilerhouse Kitchen & bar depending on the day.
What are the opening hours of wharf cafe?
Q Station’s Wharf Café is open 8am to 8pm Monday and Tuesday and 8am to 4pm Wednesday to Sunday. The café serves a range of delicious snacks including sandwiches, pastries and ice creams as well as hot drinks, beer and wine.

Are there cooking facilities?
Our two-bedroom Terrace’s have a kitchenette with microwave, toaster, plates, and cutlery. Our three bedrooms cottages have a kitchenette with stove top, microwave, toaster, plates, and cutlery. All other rooms have tea and coffee facilities.
How can I learn about the history of the site?
Book a history tour or the museum in the Visitor’s Centre, open 10am - 4pm daily. No admission fee.
Do you offer school education programs?
Yes, get in tour with our Tours Team to discuss our Education Programs.
Can i have a wedding here?

DO you have Sofa Bed/ cots available?
Sofa beds are available in our suites for an additional $50 per night. We can offer a single rollaway bed in the Apartments or Cottages for an additional $50 per night. Cots are free of charge. Please note all are based on availability.
