Public Spaces
- We have increased the frequency and scope of cleaning with hospital-grade disinfection of all high-contact public spaces such as the hotel lobby, museum, public bathrooms and all frequently touched surfaces including counters, doors, handles and taps.
- Automatic hand sanitiser stations have been conveniently placed throughout the hotel public areas for guest use.
- Social distancing is maintained at all times by team members and hotel guests with the assistance of floor decals and signage. Social distancing of 4 square metres is advised - with all areas clearly displaying the capacity, determined by square footage.
Reception & Check In Process
- Our conditions of entry are clearly displayed at all entrances.
- All guests and visitors are required to ‘check in’ using the service NSW app and QR code.
- We are avid supporters of the COVID Safe app and encourage all of our associates and guests to register for this app before visiting
- Hygiene screens have been installed at our reception desks
- All consumables e.g. pens are sanitised before and after use.
- Contactless payment only is required
- Hotel guests are required to wear face masks when travelling on any internal transport.
Guest Accommodation Rooms
- All rooms are thoroughly cleaned with hospital-grade disinfectant during and after each guest stay.

We receive regular updates and advice from Hotel Associations which utilises all available resources including Safe Work Australia, NSW Health as well as the National COVID-19 Coordination Commission (NCCC).
- Frequent hand washing is second nature, and our staff have easy and regular access to washing areas and/or hand sanitiser stations.
- Staff are also provided with individual face masks for all shifts, and this is changed every four hours.
Restaurants and Dining
- Our food and beverage teams have reinforced safety across restaurants, room service and buffet protocols. New precautionary measures across every aspect of food preparation, plating and service are taken very seriously. This includes staff hygiene through the use of sanitiser, masks and gloves, frequent disinfection of all surfaces, and a carefully devised socially distanced floor plan for limited bookings - we are accepting a maximum of 10 people per group booking.

This includes:
- Provision of hand sanitiser for each conference/event group
- Thorough and regular cleaning of surfaces, including bathrooms, benches, and all touch points such as door handles, tables, etc.

Tours, Education Programs and Visitor Centre
- To keep everyone safe we have made changes to our tour operations and continue to review them as NSW Health advice changes.
- All visitors will be asked to check in using the Service NSW app when arriving on site. This includes all members of any family groups, including children. Q Station staff will ask to see your check in before you participate in the tour. School groups are required to email us contact details for all students a minimum of 24 hours prior to the visit.
- Tour and Education program group sizes have been reduced in line with government recommendations to allow for social distancing
- We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection of high touch areas within our tour buildings, but still recommend that you sanitise your hands prior, during and after your tour. Hand sanitiser is provided on arrival and departure.
- All tour participants will need to practise physical distancing of 1.5 m from each other and with limited capacity within some of our smaller heritage buildings entry tour routes may be changed.
