Q Station Primary Schools Program

Stages 1 & 2

Kids In Quarantine allows students to experience life as a quarantined person from 100 years ago. Relegated to first, second or third class, students get a sense of life as lived at the Station and are able to compare that with their lives today.

2 hour tour, $15 per student

Stages 2 & 3

Inspired by the book of the same name written by Felicity Pulman, the Ghost Boy tour brings the book to life. Ghost Boy takes students on a journey through the Quarantine Station allowing them to learn first-hand about the differences between Tad’s 1800’s smallpox epidemic world with their own, through the character of ‘Froggy”.

2 hour tour, $15 per student

Stage 3

40 Days - The original length of time people were quarantined. Our 40 Days interactive experience asks, “What would happen if you were quarantined tomorrow?” Students take on the role of a former passenger or crew on the R.M.S

‘Niagara’ and explore Quarantine Station history through their eyes.

2 hour tour, $20 per student
